Rincon Announces Native-American Owned Brewery

Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians introduced this month the opening of the primary certified Native American-owned brewery in Valley Center. The brewery, if you want to make its debut on the cease of January, may be positioned next to Harrah’s Southern California Resort.

The brewery, named Rincon Reservation Road Brewery, will feature 4 unique beers that pay homage to the history of the Native Americans, in step with the tribe.

“We wish guests will get a flavor of our way of life along side playing high-quality craft beer,” Ruth-Ann Thorn, chairwoman for the REDCO under Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians, stated. “We plan on bringing recipes that infuse our local plant life and agriculture. All of our beers are crafted from the water sourced on our reservation.”

Thorn stated the tribe hopes to train the public about the rich history of the Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians who are known as the authentic Californians.” She said the institution opted to tap into the brewery scene due to the popularity of craft beer in San Diego County, but don’t plan on competing with different brewers.

“We plan on complementing the space of craft beer that has already been efficiently created here in San Diego,” Thorn said. “We hope to make contributions to the beer industry through bringing a completely unique taste of Rincon Reservation thru superb beer and excellent tales of our way of life.”
